Bordering your text

A simple way to add a border to your text!

Open up a new blank image. Make sure the dimensions aren't smaller then how big your text is going to be.
I will be using a 350x350 document, filled in with the colour #A657FF.

Fill in your blank image. Now click on the text tool.

Match your settings to mine. Make sure you choose a colour that will show up with the background. For example I will be using the colour white.

Now type in your text. Press OK. You should now see a dotted border hovering over your text.

Go to selections>modify>expand. There should be a small pop-up window saying expand selection and number of pixels. Change the amount to whatever number you want. I chose 2. There should now be a border around your text. Finished! :D
